Chester Bennington, lead singer of Linkin Park died today. The news was advanced by TMZ website and was later confirmed by the forensic department of LA to the Associated Press.

According to the police the singer of 41 years old committed suicide by hanging. The body of Chester Bennington was found at the singer’s home in Los Angeles. He had six sons from two marriages. According to TMZ Chester struggled with drug and alcohol addiction for several years.

Chester Bennington was very close to Chris Cornell that died last may and would turn 53 today. From 2007 to 2008 Bennington and Cornell toured together and performed duets like Hunger Strike (Temple of Dogs song) and Crawling (Linkin Park song).
When Chris Cornell died Chester was devastated and wrote the letter bellow.
